washing machine effectiveness bioindicator
AXCP120 is a washing machine effectiveness bioindicator (also called washing bioindicator) from Axis. This specialized test strip is designed to monitor and document the performance of laboratory and pharmaceutical washer–disinfectors, providing evidence of proper cleaning by indicating critical washing parameters via color change
Description

INDICATIONS:
- Routine quality control of washer–disinfectors in laboratories, pharmaceutical production, and healthcare facilities.
- Verifying cleaning efficacy, ensuring that critical surfaces and parts are exposed adequately to washing cycles.
- Supporting documentation for compliance with regulatory standards.
- Typically used alongside a stainless-steel holder, which is included or sold with the indicator
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE.
-
-
Attach the Indicator: Place the AXCP120 strip into the stainless-steel indicator holder supplied with the product.
-
Load Preparation: Include the holder with the indicator among your regular load items and position it in an area that challenges clean water flow (like the center or behind instruments).
-
Run Washer Cycle: Operate the washer–disinfector using the validated cleaning cycle.
-
Post-Wash Inspection: After the cycle ends, remove the holder and check the indicator strip. A color change (lighter or darker, depending on product specifications) confirms effective wash performance. No change suggests suboptimal cleaning.
-
Corrective Action: If no color change occurs, investigate cycle parameters—temperature, detergent concentration, or flow—and re-run until the indicator passes.
-
Documentation: Record each wash cycle’s date, load ID, cycle settings, and indicator result for QA and traceability.
