Type 5 chemical integrator strip
AXCP90 is a Type 5 Steam Chemical Integrator used to verify that all critical parameters of steam sterilization—time, temperature, and steam saturation—have been met inside sterilization packs. It is placed inside each pack or tray and shows a color change only when the sterilization conditions reach validated levels. It complies with EN ISO 11140-1 standards.
Description

INDICATIONS:
- Hospitals, clinics, and sterilization centers using steam sterilization (autoclaves).
- Internal pack monitoring, placed inside surgical kits, instrument trays, or pouches to ensure sterilant reaches the innermost part.
- Routine sterilization quality control, confirming that each pack has been exposed to effective sterilization conditions.
- Compliance with infection control policies requiring visual proof of cycle completion.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE.
- Preparation: Ensure packs are properly sealed and ready for sterilization.
- Placement: Insert one AXCP90 integrator strip inside each individual sterilization pack or tray.
- Sterilization: Run the autoclave cycle using the required parameters (typically 121°C for 15–30 min or 134°C for 3–5 min, depending on the load).
- Inspection After Cycle:
- Check the strip after sterilization.
- A complete color transition (e.g., white or light bar moves fully into the “ACCEPT” area) indicates the sterilization conditions were successfully met.
- Partial or no movement of the indicator means the pack did not reach the required conditions.
- Response: If sterilization is not confirmed, do not use the contents. Repack and reprocess the item.
- Documentation: Keep the indicator for record-keeping as proof of sterilization, especially in critical care or surgical settings.
